Enes Kelmustafa (23), a member of Altındağ Municipality Güneşevler Youth Center and a trainee of the Barrier-Free Life Center, is one of the young people whose life has changed thanks to Altındağ Municipality... Enes, who started his second life, gets stronger again with the support he receives, regains his learning skills and adapts to social life.

HOW DID THE ACCIDENT HAPPEN?

The accident that changed Enes' life happened when he was 17 years old. While he was a student at Anatolian High School and preparing to graduate, the crane chain broke as a result of an accident at the workplace where he was doing his internship, and fell on Enes' head. Enes, who was seriously injured when a 10-ton iron chain fell on his head, fought for his life in intensive care, intubated and unconscious for 45 days. Doctors said there was severe damage to the brain vessels. At the end of 45 days, Enes managed to hold on to life and opened his eyes. However, it was realized that there was another problem waiting for Enes and his family. Enes didn't remember anything, he didn't know anyone. While Enes' next life was spent struggling to recover physically, he also tried to regain his memory and remember his past.

“THANKS TO ALTındağ MUNICIPALITY, I AM REBUILDING MY DREAMS”

Having forgotten everything, including his ability to read and write, Enes is now trying to hold on to his second life with all his might. Enes describes his struggle to return to life with the following words:
"I started to hold on to life again, thanks to the support of Altındağ Municipality. I am regaining my reading and writing skills at the Altındağ Municipality Güneşevler Youth Center. This place was very good for me. I learned that the E-KPSS course was opened here, and I started the course. I made a lot of friends. I am on very good terms with all of them... I am rebuilding my dreams and my future. Before my accident, my dream was to become a specialist sergeant. But it did not happen... So I took a photo in military camouflage, so that I would not forget it, and I still do." boynumda asker künyesi taşıyorum. Kaza sebebiyle gerçekleştiremediğim hayallerimin peşinden koşuyorum. Unuttuğum okuma ve yazmayı yeniden hatırlıyorum. Hiç pes etmiyorum. Hocalarım bana çok yardımcı oluyor. Onların destekleriyle yeniden yazabiliyorum. Kazadan önce kitap okumayı da çok severdim. Yeniden su gibi kitap okumayı diliyorum. Onu da başaracağım inşallah... Kurs benim sosyalleşmeme de çok katkı sağlıyor. Arkadaşlarımla bilardo ve langırt gibi oyunlar oynuyoruz. Kurstayken çok mutluyum, psikolojim düzeliyor. İlk I went to the concert for the first time thanks to Altındağ Municipality, thank you very much.”

“I NEED TO HAVE SURGERY AGAIN”

Stating that he cannot use his left arm now but is still trying to hold on to life with determination, Enes said, "I had 3 surgeries on my skull. Artificial bone was placed on my skull, which caused an infection 6 months later and I had surgery again. Doctors said I came back from death. It was a very risky surgery. However, the risk did not pass. I have to have surgery again."
Explaining that he can lie on the right side of his head and on his back while sleeping at night, Kelmustafa stated that he cannot turn to the left side and said, "It causes pain because the inside of my head collapses. That's why artificial bone needs to be installed as soon as possible. That's why I want to have surgery."

“E-KPSS COURSE WAS LIKE A MEDICATION FOR MY SON”

Enes's mother, Zübeyde Kelmustafa, said that they watched her son's development process with happiness. Stating that his son was a very gentleman and was loved by everyone, Kelmustafa said:
"We had very difficult, very painful days during Enes' post-accident period. God forgave him to us. Thank God, he came back to life. However, when we woke up, we realized that he did not remember any of us, he had even forgotten how to read and write. We did not know what to do at first... Enes got depressed. Then we heard about the course of Altındağ Municipality. This place was like a medicine for my son. Years of difficult processes and bad days we went through are gone. My son is very happy here..." he said. Stating that Enes has learned to read and write again, mother Kelmustafa said, "My son's only goal now is to successfully complete the E-KPSS course and pass the exam successfully... If he passes the E-KPSS exams, he wants to become a civil servant. Hopefully, we all want him to get a job, get a driver's license and get married."
Anne Zübeyde Kelmustafa stated that they received great support from Altındağ Municipality Güneşevler Youth Center and Barrier-Free Life Center and said, "The teachers and friends in these centers supported us a lot.
