"THERE IS NO AGE TO LEARN..."
Yasemin Bitmez, a member of Karapürçek-1 Women's Education and Culture Center, who is happy to learn to read and write, is 33 years old... She could not go to school because there was no school in her village. His family did not allow him to go to another village to study. The dream of reading has always remained inside him like a wound...
Bitmez, who learned to read and write by attending the course opened by Altındağ Municipality, expressed her feelings with the following words: "I had my wife make my hospital appointments because I could not read or write. Now I can make my appointments myself. I could not help my children with their homework. My wife would help. I had a lot of trouble when my wife was not around. My child will start the first grade and now I will help her with her homework. I am very happy. I was hesitating even attending the parent-teacher meetings of my other children. I would even have difficulty writing my name and surname in parent-teacher meetings. I used to get help from the people I felt closest to. After I learned how to read and write, I had to go to another village for school. My family did not enroll me in school for 8 years. I need to read and write in every aspect of my life, and I experienced this problem. My biggest supporter wants me to get a driver's license. Now that I can read and write, I am thinking of getting my license. "There is no age... I would like to thank Altındağ Municipality and Mayor Veysel Tiryaki for opening the literacy courses."

"Girls were not educated in the village where I was born, I could not go to school, but it remained with me. I always wanted to learn to read and write. Our financial situation was not good. When I learned that the municipality had a reading and writing course, I was very happy, I registered immediately. Before, I had difficulty finding addresses. I even encountered people who did not help me when I asked for help. I do not want help from anyone anymore. Today, we graduated from the course and received our diploma. I am very happy. We threw our caps in the air. May God bless our teachers and our President who taught us how to read and write..."
