“I WANT MY JOURNEY TO INSPIRATE EVERYONE”
Gözdenur Can (26), a member of Aydınlıkevler Women's Education and Culture Center, said, "I attend guitar and reed flute courses at the center. After years of my academic journey, I discovered another way to express myself. This process took place thanks to the Amigurumi course. At first, it was just a curiosity for me... I thought, 'I wonder if I can do it?' But I completed the first product in a short period of 4 weeks. I created many figures and obtained products during the course. I am very happy with the feedback I received on the products I produced. He expressed his feelings with the words:
Can said, "I was introduced to the Women's Education and Culture Center thanks to my mother. I didn't even know how to do handicrafts or even how to crochet. Afterwards, I learned quickly and enjoyed it very much. I wanted to try something different and add different skills to myself. It makes you feel good to be able to create a product. I prepared products for this exhibition, thinking about the legend of the Hababam Class. I made the amigurumi products of Adile Naşit and Kemal Sunal using the amigurumi thread. The products were very liked and I received positive comments. This art remained just a hobby for me." "I don't want to, I want to master it. I want this journey of mine to be an inspiration to everyone who wants to add something to themselves. I would like to thank Altındağ Municipality and our Mayor, Dr. Veysel Tiryaki, on behalf of all the women of Altındağ."
“IT'S HARVEST TIME FOR WOMEN FROM ALTINDAG..."
Altındağ Mayor Dr. said that May is the time for thousands of women who are members of these centers to receive the reward of their efforts. Veysel Tiryaki said that the year-end exhibitions are "harvest time" for women. Stating that they are happy to see the women of Altındağ achieve great success, Mayor Tiryaki said, "The women who attended the courses at the Women's Education and Culture Centers that we brought to Altındağ in the past periods, had exemplary successes in many fields. They showed that women can achieve any job they want. There were many women who continued their education, opened their own businesses, and had a profession. Their achievements make us proud, too."
"The works in the exhibition are worth seeing... Hand labor is more valuable than anything else for us, and each of these works smells of labor. On this occasion, I congratulate our ladies once again and wish them continued success," said Mayor Tiryaki, and invited all Altındağ residents to visit the exhibitions opened at the Women's Education and Culture Centers.
