Altındağ's barrier-free age... The physiotherapy and physical activity event organized for individuals with special needs, in cooperation with Altındağ Municipality and Ankara Medipol University, was greatly appreciated. The event was organized by Ankara Medipol University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Community Student Club advisors Assoc. Dr. It was carried out by Halil İbrahim Bulguroğlu and Research Assistant Selcan Suiçmez. Within the scope of the event, firstly, information was given about physical activities. Then, muscle strengthening and balance exercises were explained in practice. 
“AGE APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE DONE”
Drawing attention to the things to be considered while exercising, Research Assistant Selcan Suiçmez said, "Children should do moderate-intensity physical activity for at least 60 minutes a day, and adults should do at least 150 minutes a week. The workload in activities should be increased gradually. Physical activity should be started with a 5 or 10-minute activity. There should be activities adapted to the individual's sensory needs and development level. In addition, the activities should be age-appropriate. Environments that may cause distraction should be avoided. Physical activity should be rhythmic and running, running, "It should include large muscle groups such as jumping and hopping," he said.
Talking about the benefits of physical activities, Suiçmez said, "Physical activities help develop vision, hearing, touch and movement perceptions. It increases physical fitness by increasing endurance, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. It helps control weight. It helps the formation of appropriate behavioral reactions. It improves manual skills. It provides an increase in social skills and attention. It provides better participation in academic activities."
