Ulucanlar Prison Museum broke a record again. 20 thousand people visited the museum in 1 week. Long queues formed in front of the museum, which brought together thousands of visitors from both inside and outside Ankara.

We understand better every day what a right thing we did by preserving this place and opening its doors as a museum."
President Tiryaki said, "Thousands of people visit our museum every year, especially during holidays and on special dates such as the anniversary of the September 12 coup. We are used to seeing long queues in front of our museum... We would like to thank all the visitors who visited our museum and formed long queues. We continue to improve the museum day by day to meet the expectations of our visitors."
TURKEY'S POLITICAL HISTORY IS IN ULUCANLAR
Ulucanlar Prison Museum, one of the most important stops in Turkish political history; It attracts great attention from visitors with its wards, isolation rooms, dungeons and the sound recordings made in these sections. The section that attracts the most attention of visitors is the 6th ward, where personal belongings of well-known people who served time in Ulucanlar Prison are exhibited. The 6th ward of Ulucanlar Prison, which operated from 1925 to 2006, hosts the personal belongings of famous journalists, literary figures and politicians who were imprisoned there. In this ward, where the belongings of many well-known and important names from all walks of life are exhibited, there are the personal belongings and CV information of many people, from Bülent Ecevit to Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, from Deniz Gezmiş to Metin Toker, from Hüseyin İnan to Mustafa Pehlivanoğlu, from Kasım Gülek to Fakir Baykurt and Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. Visitors do not leave the museum without visiting the ward called "Hilton Ward". The gallows, where many executions took place, can also be seen in situ, in the courtyard of the Ulucanlar Prison Museum.
