Young people who attended the taekwondo course at the sports centers operating under Altındağ Municipality experienced the excitement of certificates. 111 young taekwondo athletes from Altındağ, who successfully completed the exam, tied the belt. The athletes, their families and teachers did not leave them alone on this happy day.

“OUR TEACHER'S EFFORT IS VERY MUCH…”

Aslı Akdoğan (12), one of the trainees who tied the yellow-green belt, talked about what the colors of the belts mean. Akdoğan said, "I started taekwondo a year ago. I was very interested in combat sports. I was watching movies about it. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity given to me. I take national taekwondo athlete Kübra Dağlı as an example. Our teacher brought me this far, she contributed a lot... All sports branches are good, but I have a special interest in taekwondo. It is a good sport in terms of hand coordination and flexibility... I recommend this sport to everyone."

“I WANT TO BE A CHAMPION IN THE BALKANS”

Salih Demirci (10), one of the taekwondo players who passed to the next generation, said: "I met taekwondo 2 years ago. I was interested in swimming before, but I wanted to choose taekwondo. I think taekwondo improved me more. We first received competition training in the course. We ran, competed with big belts. Afterwards, we did difficult runs and passed speed races. My goal is to move on to the black belt. I see taekwondo as a profession. I want to join the national team and compete in competitions in the Balkans. "I want to be first in the competitions," he said.

“I THANK OUR MAYOR”

Young athlete Yaren Pektezel (12), who said that he started taekwondo 1 year ago, said, "I was interested in kickboxing before taekwondo. I liked taekwondo more. I learned to defend myself. Taekwondo is a defense sport... This sport developed me in terms of flexibility. I plan to become a taekwondo coach in the future. I think I am stronger and more self-confident after starting taekwondo. I want to represent our country in international competitions. I would like to thank our Mayor for giving such opportunities to children."

Another athlete, Yusuf Eymen Çakmak (8), said: "I was interested in chess before. Thanks to taekwondo, I feel stronger. I do this sport to defend myself. My goal is to become a black belt... I recommend taekwondo to everyone."

Young athlete Enes Şimşek (12), who rose to the red belt, expressed his feelings with the words: "Taekwondo is a self-defense sport, a beautiful sport... I think I am prone to this sport. I devoted myself to this sport. My future goal is to be the champion of Turkey."
