Meaningful exhibition in Altındağ... Women who attended the painting course at Altındağ Municipality Women's Education and Culture Centers organized an exhibition to draw attention to violence against women. The exhibition was opened by Altındağ Mayor Dr. Performed by Veysel Tiryaki. The exhibition, which includes 70 handmade works, will be open to visitors for 1 week. "NO WOMAN SHOULD BE SORRY OR HARM..." Sürmeli Karaoğlu (64), one of the members of Aydınlıkevler Women's Education and Culture Center, whose work is included in the exhibition, said, "I have been attending a painting course for 10 years. I did not know that I had such a talent before joining the course. I participated in the exhibition with 3 of my works. In my works, I talked about the sacrifice of Anatolian women, their local clothes, their tree-like roots standing firmly on the ground and their productivity. No woman should be sad or harmed. All women are wives, sisters, sisters... Many women are subjected to violence." "There are women. May God not let anyone experience this," he said. Another member, Serpil Böke (45), expressed her feelings with the following words: "I have been interested in painting for about 20 years. I improved myself further in the painting course I attended at the Women's Education and Culture Center. I learned techniques I did not know. The course was very useful. I also painted a special painting for the exhibition. I wanted to express violence in my work. I painted a woman who was subjected to violence and tried to be silenced. We are against all kinds of violence. No woman should be subjected to violence." "WOMEN ARE OUR CROWN OF HEAD..." Altındağ Mayor Dr. emphasized that they always stand by women against violence. Veysel Tiryaki said, "Violence against women is a crime against humanity. No woman can be subjected to psychological, physical or any other type of violence. I hope we will put an end to this injustice against our women together... Women deserve to be cherished, not to violence..." Mayor Tiryaki said, "All women, especially the women of Altındağ, are our crown jewel... As the municipality, we bring our women together through art and cultural activities. We do whatever is necessary for them to improve themselves. We will always continue to stand by our women against violence. I invite all Ankara residents, especially all our women, to visit our exhibition."
