The Mother’s Day Gift Fair has opened at the Handicrafts Sales Market located in Hamamönü, where Altındağ women transform their handmade crafts into income. Special handmade products prepared for Mother’s Day by women members of Altındağ Municipality’s Women’s Education and Culture Centers have been put on sale.
Mother’s Day Gift Fair opens
Sales have begun at the Handicrafts Sales Market with a special “Mother’s Day” themed collection. The handcrafted items prepared by members of Altındağ Municipality Women’s Education and Culture Centers have been showcased at the fair and attracted great interest from visitors.
The market features a wide variety of handmade products including amigurumi toys, leather bags and wallets, epoxy jewelry designs, felt crafts, as well as embroidery, sewing, knitting items, and many other special designs.
“We invite everyone who wants to buy a gift for their mother”
Ayşe Bilki, a member of the Güneşevler Women’s Education and Culture Center, who is exhibiting her products at the market, shared her experience: she expressed her happiness at being able to turn her hobby into income, highlighted the friendships she has formed, and thanked the municipality for the opportunity.
Alime Özen, a member of the Plevne Women’s Education and Culture Center, also stated that participating in the market is very enjoyable for her, saying it adds meaning to her daily life. She added that they have prepared their most special products for Mother’s Day and invited everyone to visit the market to buy gifts for their mothers.
“I wish our women abundant and prosperous earnings”
Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki congratulated all participating women and emphasized the importance of Women’s Education and Culture Centers in supporting women’s social and economic life. He noted that thousands of women have gained skills and contributed to their household income through these centers.
He wished all women abundant earnings and extended Mother’s Day wishes to all mothers, especially those in Altındağ. He also invited all residents of Ankara to visit the Handicrafts Sales Market in Hamamönü and support local women by shopping there.
