Applications for the "Dear Atatürk from My Pen and Brush" competition have started for students from Altındağ. The competition is open to the participation of all primary, secondary and high school students studying in Altındağ district. In the competition, where primary school students will compete in the painting category, secondary school students in the poetry category and high school students in the letter category, students are expected to convey their feelings and thoughts about Atatürk through painting or writing. The works will be evaluated by a jury formed by Altındağ Municipality Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, including literature and visual arts experts. Surprise prizes await the winners of the competition, where the application deadline is set as November 5. Participants must personally deliver their works to Altındağ Municipality Youth Centers by November 5. 3 DIFFERENT CATEGORIES ACCORDING TO AGE GROUP According to the rules determined for the competition, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students participating in the painting competition must prepare their works with free technique on 35 x 50 drawing paper. Students who will compete in this field can use pastel paint, watercolor, gouache, charcoal or do collage work. Secondary school 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are required to use the Ataturk theme in their poems. Poems that must be written with ink and pen must not exceed two pages in length. High school students must submit the letters they will write to Atatürk in a sealed envelope with a stamp on them. AWARD CEREMONY ON NOVEMBER 10 The award ceremony of the competition will be held on November 10, 2025. After the evaluation of the works, awards will be presented to the top three students in each category. “I INVITE ALL OUR STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION” Wishing success to the students who will participate in the competition, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "We believe that this competition, which we organized specifically for the 10th of November Atatürk Commemoration Day, will attract great attention from our students. We expect our young people from Altındağ, who participate in the competitions we organize in 3 different categories, to reveal their talents. The works to be prepared in 3 different categories: painting, poetry and letters will be evaluated by jury members who are experts in their fields. Our children participating in the competition will immortalize their love for Atatürk. In this way, there will be the opportunity to discover new young talents." he said. Mayor Tiryaki invited all students studying in schools in Altındağ and members of Altındağ Municipality Youth Center to participate in the competition.
