Women from Altındağ were introduced to Sufi instruments. Women from Altındağ who attended the "Ney and Bendir" course opened at the Women's Education and Culture Centers in every neighborhood of Altındağ, entered Sufi music. The ney and bendir course led by Sufi Artist Ayşe Tekin attracted great attention from the women of Altındağ. The women, who accelerated their work with the arrival of Ramadan, said, "Both the spirituality of Ramadan and the beautiful melodies of Sufi instruments give us spiritual days. We are very happy to attend this course. We would like to thank our esteemed President for providing us with these opportunities." “WE ARE DOING VERY BEAUTIFUL WORK ON SUFISM” Sufi artist Ayşe Tekin, who gives Ney and Bendir training to women from Altındağ, said, "I have been teaching here for nearly 4 years. In the Ney course, I teach our students about subjects such as reading notes, blowing the flute, making sounds, recognizing pitches, learning notes, and then having them work on the piece. I take care to make collective performances and let the students play together. In the Bendir course, we study beats and special darp techniques. I also created a Sufi choir with my students in the centers. "We give concerts with our choir in the halls of our Municipality and at various events. Our work on Sufism becomes even more meaningful during the holy month of Ramadan." “WE COULD TAKE A DROP FROM THIS SEA” Betül Özgen, who attended the ney and bendir course at the center, said, "I have been coming to this course for 7 years. The more I learn, the more I want to learn... What I am, and what I become. In this way, a love was formed between me and my instrument... When we look at the history of the ney, we see that the ney did not always give its secret to everyone and cried out that secret every time it was blown. I feel like I am having troubles every time I blow on the ney. It is like I am giving some of my secrets to it, and it is giving me some of my secrets." "He gives away his secrets," he said. Stating that Ney courses are not available everywhere and that those who are curious have a hard time finding them, Özgen said, "I would like to thank Altındağ Municipality and our Mayor Veysel Tiryaki for bringing this meaningful education that everyone is looking for and wanting to reach, and for providing us with these opportunities. We would benefit from taking even a drop from this ocean..." Another trainee, Yüksel Ergül, said, "I am 50 years old. I love the course. I dream of coming to the lesson every week and look forward to it. I want to learn more. I am very happy thanks to the Ney and Bendir course. We are very pleased with Altındağ Municipality. I have been actively participating in all its social activities for 11 years. Thanks to Veysel Mayor, we can socialize thanks to activities such as cultural trips and courses for women." “THESE TWO BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENTS ARE GAINING MORE MEANING IN THE HANDS OF OUR WOMEN FROM ALTİNĞĞ” Altındağ Mayor Dr. said that they attach great importance to the development of Altındağ women in every aspect. Veysel Tiryaki said, "Our women show great interest in the courses opened in our Women's Education and Culture Centers and achieve great success in these courses. The great interest received by the Ney and Bendir course is really meaningful... With the arrival of the month of Ramadan, these spiritual sounds have gained even more meaning." President Tiryaki said, "Ney and bendir are two very important instruments in Sufi music... These instruments gain more meaning in the hands of our women from Altındağ. I would like to thank everyone who made an effort for us to hear these beautiful sounds."
