Women from Altındağ continue to meet with useful training seminars. The training seminar on "Raising Good People", held by educator-writer Vural Çakır at Şair Baki Cultural Center, was highly appreciated. Giving advice to the participants on raising good people, Çakır touched upon the distinction between education and training. Çakır stated that man is a being that can learn and said, "I learned half of what I learned from my students. The reason for all the good and evil in the world is human. A person's faith, respect, justice and fun all gain meaning through education. What makes a person a scholar or a cruel person is what he learns. No one is born cruel, we learn these things later. Human beings are born with certain equipment such as being able to turn to good or evil, their intelligence and abilities." "PARENTS' PRIORITY DUTY IS TO RAISE GOOD PEOPLE" Underlining that the primary duty of parents is to raise good people, Çakır said, "Children that we cannot raise with good human character do not become good Muslims. No person is born as a saint or a bandit. He learns these behaviors later. In the past, families had inheritance to their children. Morality was inherited. In order not to pay a heavy price, we must first teach our children to be moral. Our children, whom we have not taught morality, sharing and compassion, first look at what property, property or inheritance has been left to them. First, raise good children and good people." "It's important..." he said. READ A BOOK INSTEAD OF SPENDING TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA Emphasizing that technological developments change our daily lives, Çakır said: "Technology offers indispensable opportunities for communication. Due to technological developments, life has accelerated beyond what people are accustomed to. We have been in a rush to keep up with the new. People are in a rush to keep up with every "new" thing. We are the average of the five people we meet most on social media or in social life... We are all like that, intellectually and culturally. A study conducted in 2022 shows that we spend 8 hours on the internet. The average time spent on the internet in our country is 8 hours... This is an average of 6 hours in the world, in developed countries such as Japan." 4 hours... 3 out of 5 children in schools are addicted to screens... The most common addiction now is social media addiction... However, life is not lived virtually. If you read a book for 10 minutes, your stress level decreases by 60 percent. We should not forget that, books are a good medicine and a cure for many problems. "CHILDREN'S NEEDS SHOULD BE MEET MORE THAN THEIR REQUESTS" Çakır "If we want to have good people around us, we have to be on the side of halal, morality, humanity, justice, respect, love, conscience, mercy, the country, the flag, the oppressed, the truth, and the sweat of our brow. A person who constantly complains does not develop the feeling of gratitude. The measure should not be consumption, but living need-oriented. "Gratitude" should live in our language and in our homes. Children's needs should be met rather than their wishes. To the person who sees everything as nothing but numbers. "It is difficult to explain the concept of "abundance". "Abundance" is independent of quantity." Çakır, whose seminar was greatly appreciated, signed her books for the women of Altındağ at the end of the seminar.
