Endless love for 65 years... Kübra Tipi (85), member of Altındağ Municipality Aydınlıkevler Women's Education and Culture Center, shared the secret of her long-lasting marriage with her husband İbrahim Tipi (92), whose hands she has never left behind for 65 years. Tipi stated that the secret of long-lasting marriage is loyalty, trust, patience, tolerance and love. “WE HAVE COME TO THIS DAY THANKS TO LOVE AND PATIENCE” Born in Kayseri in 1931, İbrahim Tipi moved to Ankara with his family in 1947. Tipi, who started his working life as a furniture maker, said that he saw and liked Kübra Tipi, their neighbor at the time in Hamamönü, during family visits. After the families met and agreed, the couple got married in 1961 and started a joint life. Their first child was born right after their marriage. The Tipi couple, who have experienced various difficulties over the years, still managed to fit many beautiful memories into their lives. Stating that his wife was his family's neighbor at that time, İbrahim Tipi said, "His grandmother was our neighbor in Hamamönü. They would come and go there all the time, we met there. When my mother saw him, she said, 'Let's not miss this girl.' We got married on that occasion and had the wedding." Stating that she was excited every time she saw her husband, Tipi said, "Back then, when I was young, I was excited when I saw her, and then we got married. Staying married for so long is our loyalty to each other. We have come to this day thanks to love and patience. We have overcome difficult times with tolerance. We have had and passed days with tolerance and sweetness. We have come to these times together from those times." “YOU SHOULD PROTECT PATIENCE, LOVE, RESPECT AND LOYALTY” Stating that she wanted to study in her youth and did not think about getting married, Kübra Tipi said, "I wanted to study. God wrote it on our foreheads and we got married. We have been married for 65 years." Kübra Tipi stated that her husband was a good person and said, "My wife is perfect in everything. She never made me sad. We never had any weird fights. There were always little things going on between the family, but she would keep quiet and go to work. In the evening, it would seem like nothing was happening. I wouldn't dwell on it either." Giving advice to young couples, Kübra Tipi said, "As someone who has been married for 65 years, I want to say this to today's young people. I see people who do not stay married for 65 days. They immediately divorce, it is not possible like that. My newly married children, you must maintain patience, love, respect and loyalty for each other. You will also be respectful to your families. We were respectful to our families." İbrahim Tipi, on the other hand, based on his many years of experience, gave "loyalty" advice to young people who will establish a new home. Tipi emphasized that married couples should not lose respect for their spouses and families. “ATTENDING COURSES FEEL LIKE THERAPY TO ME” Underlining that she was one of the first members of Aydınlıkevler Women's Education and Culture Center, Tipi said, "I have been a member of the Women's Education and Culture Center for years. I spend my free time by attending the courses opened here. I am very happy to be here, we have a beautiful environment. We became like sisters and brothers with our friends in the course. Going to courses feels like therapy to me. I sing in the music choir. I attend sewing and knitting courses. I take care to participate in all the activities." Kübra Tipi said, "Housewives should never spend free time at home. There are many courses and events in Women's Education and Culture Centers, they should definitely attend." “I HOPE THEIR HANDS NEVER LEAVE…” Altındağ Mayor Dr. congratulated the Tipi couple, who have continued their marriage with love and respect for 65 years. Veysel Tiryaki said, "Easy to say, they are the heroes of an endless love and respect for 65 years... I congratulate our aunt Kübra and uncle Ibrahim, who have continued their marriage happily for many years, and kiss their hands. I wish them healthy and peaceful years together. I hope their hands never part."
