New souvenirs have been added to the souvenirs exhibited in the Ulucanlar Prison Museum, one of the most important stops of Turkish political life. The personal belongings of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, known as the "Master" in Turkish literature, began to be exhibited at the Ulucanlar Prison Museum. The items brought from Istanbul to Ankara took their place in the Ulucanlar Prison Museum. CANE, SOCKS AND KNOB… Among the items are the socks that Kısakürek wore during his time in prison, especially when he wrote his poem "Letter from the Dungeon to Mehmet" in Toptaşı Prison, the topknot he never gave up in his old age, and the cane made of ivory material. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's personal belongings were delivered to be exhibited in the museum by his grandchildren, Büyük Doğu Publications General Coordinator Emrah Kısakürek and Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Culture and Research Foundation Chairman Şeyma Kısakürek Sönmezocak. Kısakürek's personal belongings attracted great attention from visitors from the first day they were exhibited. INVITATION FROM PRESIDENT TİRYAKİ TO NATIONAL PEOPLE Altındağ Mayor Dr. emphasized that each of these newly arrived items are artifacts that have witnessed history. Veysel Tiryaki said, "Everyone should definitely see these works... Here we protect the personal belongings of many people who stayed here in the past and reveal 81 years of political history. I invite everyone to visit the Ulucanlar Prison Museum." he said. Underlining that the personal items that can be seen in the museum are not limited to these, Mayor Tiryaki said, "It is possible to see many more personal items with high sentimental value in our museum, such as Bülent Ecevit's cap and tie, which are identified with him, and Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu's prayer cap and prayer rug... These items also attract great attention from visitors."
