Museum Day in Altındağ Was Full of Joy

Altındağ Municipality hosted various events as part of International Museum Day on May 18. The events, held at the Ulucanlar Prison Museum and the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum, provided some colorful moments.
A series of meaningful events were organized in Altındağ to mark International Museum Day on May 18. Artists from Hamamönü Art Street conducted traditional art workshops at the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum. As part of the program, participants were first briefed on the historical and cultural significance of the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum. Following this, visitors had the opportunity to experience the arts of ebru, calligraphy, mosaic, ceramic, tezhip painting, and leatherwork.
WORKSHOP FESTIVITIES BY ARTISTS FROM ULUCANLAR ART STREET
In another event, workshop festivals were organized in the museum garden by artists from Ulucanlar Art Street. As part of the workshop festivals, activities such as making brooches from cold ceramic, stone painting, tezhip painting, carpet weaving, and ebru were held. Ankara residents showed great interest in the events.
“WE HAD A GREAT TIME”
Sümeyye Seven, who participated in the event, noted that it was her first visit to the Hacı Bayram Veli Museum, saying, “I really liked this museum. I had the opportunity to experience ebru art for the first time. We had a great time. I’d like to thank everyone involved.”
Another participant, Sümeyye Kübra Öcal, expressed her feelings by saying, “I first participated in the calligraphy workshop and then in the ceramic art workshop. The events organized at the museum were very productive in helping us get to know traditional arts. We really enjoyed ourselves.”
