The strike process in Altındağ Municipality ended with a legal result. With the decision of the Ankara 4th Labor Court, numbered 2025/104, dated June 17, 2025, the authority of the Hizmet-İş Union in the municipality was deemed invalid, and the strike decision was also cancelled. It was registered by the court decision that this strike, in which none of the municipal employees participated, had no legal basis due to the union's lack of authority. Altındağ Mayor Veysel Tiryaki said the following in his statement on the subject: "From the beginning of the process, we acted determinedly to protect both the labor of our employees and the right of our people to receive service. The court decision confirmed the legitimacy of our stance. None of our personnel participated in this unjust strike decision, and our services continued in full." “PERCEPTION OPERATIONS WERE IN VAIN” In the statement made by the municipality, it was pointed out that some circles were trying to mislead the public, and it was emphasized that the claims that there was a crisis between the municipality and the employees and that the services were disrupted did not reflect the truth. While no employee of Altındağ Municipality participated in the strike, it was stated that municipal services were continued with the same dedication in all units. While the municipal administration carried out the legal process with determination, it prioritized the citizens' right to peace and service. “WE WILL CONTINUE WITH A FAIR AND TRANSPARENT MANAGEMENT APPROACH” While the lack of authority of the union and the baselessness of the strike became clear with the court decision, the municipal administration gave the following message to the public: “Altındağ Municipality will continue on its way with a transparent, participatory and fair management approach, as it has done so far, and will always protect the labor of its employees, the rights of its citizens and the rule of law.” At the end of his statement, Mayor Tiryaki thanked the municipality staff and the people of Altındağ and expressed his gratitude for their support.
