Women from Altındağ became aware of combating violence against women. Members of Hüseyin Gazi Women's Education and Culture Center met at the seminar titled "Violence Against Women". The seminar was held by Social Work Specialist Muradiye Oral, working at Ankara Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center of Ankara Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. In the seminar, what violence and abuse against women is, types of violence, causes of violence, places where women who are subjected to violence or abuse can apply and the rights they can benefit from were discussed. Additionally, information was given about the Women's Emergency Support (KADES) application and the ALO 183 Social Support Line of the Ministry of Family and Social Services. "VIOLENCE IS A VITAL ISSUE..." Stating that violence against women is a vital issue, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "We attach great importance to seminars that raise awareness of women from Altındağ. In this context, we organized a seminar to raise awareness of women about the violence they may be exposed to. Violence against women is a very important and vital issue... Women from Altındağ gained awareness and consciousness about violence after this seminar. They became aware of how to fight against violence and how to get help when they are exposed to violence." "KADES AND ALO 183 ARE VERY IMPORTANT..." President Tiryaki said, "Our women who are victims of violence or abuse should apply to the Women's Emergency Support (KADES) application and the ALO 183 Social Support Line of our Ministry of Family and Social Services in the fight against this issue. Our women who are exposed to violence or abuse should definitely use the KADES application or apply to the ALO 183 Social Support Line." President Tiryaki added that awareness seminars on KADES and ALO 183 Social Support Line will continue in all Women's Education and Culture Centers respectively.
