Women who want to have a profession are doing great things in the courses opened at Altındağ Municipality Women's Education and Culture Centers. One of these jobs is quilt making... Women who attend the "Traditional Quilt Making" course opened in the centers not only contribute to the home economy by selling wool quilts, which are indispensable for dowry, but also cure the winter cold. The “Traditional Quilting” course attracts great interest from the women of Altındağ. “I THANK OUR PRESIDENT, MR. VEYSEL TİRYAKİ” Expressing her satisfaction with the course, trainee Türkan Seçir (51) emphasized that wool quilts are more beneficial for health. Seçir said, "I sell quilts to order. I meet the needs of my home with the earnings I earn. There is a very nice environment in the course, our dialogue with people increases. I am very pleased with the quilt course. After starting the course, I could not stay at home." Another trainee, Saliha Acar (60), said that the course was like therapy for her. Expressing her interest in sewing, Acar said, "I have manual skills in sewing. I prepared the items in my dowry myself. I love dealing with wool. The course feels like therapy to me, it relieves stress. I sell quilts upon order. I prefer flower and diamond pattern motifs. We start the training by sewing a baby quilt. We put fiber into the satin. Those with allergies can choose fiber, fiber is easier to sew... There are also those who want to sew cotton, but cotton is the most difficult material to sew. We generally prefer wool in quilt making. We mostly use flower motifs. In green quilts, the leaf model is among our preferences. Quilts never go out of fashion. Duvets are needed in every home and in every girl's dowry... When the weather gets cold Their value is understood even better. Wool quilts do not make you sweat in summer, they do not catch cold in winter, they are very beneficial for your health... Women from Altındağ show great interest in our course.
