Ulucanlar Prison Museum, one of the most visited museums in Ankara, opened its doors to visitors free of charge on May 18 Museum Day and hosted special events. The visitor opinion cards, which were revealed for the first time, attracted great attention and appreciation from the citizens of Ankara. 23rd Term AK Party Kars Deputy Mahmut Esat Güven also met with his readers at Ulucanlar Prison Museum. Güven signed his book "Tutsak Memories", which he wrote during his prison years, for his readers. The special screening of the movie "Don't Shoot the Kite", which was shot in the Women's Ward of Ulucanlar Prison, also attracted great attention from the visitors. Visitors who watched the movie experienced emotional moments. Approximately 7 thousand people visited Ulucanlar Prison Museum in 2 days. "WE THANK ALTındağ MUNICIPALITY" University student Sümeyye Özgül (20), one of the visitors who watched the movie, stated that she was very pleased that the Ulucanlar Prison Museum was free on Museum Day and said, "We visited the Ulucanlar Prison Museum with our friends because of the Museum Week. During the visit, we watched the movie 'Don't Shoot the Kite', which was shot here years ago. The movie was shot here, it was really impressive, I was very touched.
