Altındağ Municipality added a new one to its efforts for public health, peace and security. Altındağ Mayor Dr. With the instructions of Veysel Tiryaki, a project promotion and press conference was held for the Stray Animals Life and Rehabilitation Center, the construction of which started in Tatlar Village. The project also includes a full-fledged animal hospital, animal habitats, seating areas where families can spend time and a children's playground. The project, which will also include a dog shelter and adoption point, will be built on a total area of 75,000 m2. There will also be two dog exercise and training areas. SPECIAL LIFE SPACE FOR OUR ANIMAL FRIENDS The facility, where both stray and owned animals will be cared for, will be a warm home for our animal friends. There will be two types of shelter structures in the center, which is the first and only in Ankara. Each of the buildings, designed as open and closed, will consist of 4 sections and 25 dogs can comfortably live here. In addition, there will also be areas where dogs can do their daily exercise. There will also be quarantine compartments for new and sick animals at the center. A rehabilitation center will also be built for the training and rehabilitation of dogs. In the project, where eaves and under-tree shade areas where animals can be shaded in open areas were also considered, every detail was designed with the comfort of the animals in mind. FULLY FUNCTIONED ANIMAL HOSPITAL The animal hospital has an area of 141 m2 where 3 dogs can undergo surgery at the same time. It will serve as a full-fledged animal hospital with animal examination, x-ray, waiting room and animal observation room. There is 1 car park in the center that is open to visitors. Child visitors will be able to have a pleasant time in the children's playgrounds. “THIS CENTER WILL BE AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL TURKEY…” Speaking at the project introductory meeting, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "After the appointment of our President, we accelerated the process. We took action quickly both for stray animals and for public health and safety. Our friends worked intensively. I think it would be unfair to our project to call this place an 'Animal Shelter'. As you can see, this place will be a 'Street Animal Life and Rehabilitation Center'. We will also do whatever is necessary to make it the most comfortable and most modern center in Turkey. Their faces I hope we will make you laugh..." he said. Providing information about the details of the project, Mayor Tiryaki said, "This center will be an example for the whole of Turkey... We do not want people in Altındağ to be afraid of walking on the road, children to be exposed to danger on the way to school, unwanted accidents to occur, and the quality of life to decrease. However, we also argue that every animal should have living conditions suitable for its nature. Every dog living on the street should have a home... Wherever I go in Altındağ, whoever I talk to, everyone complains about the animals on the street. Mothers say our children cannot go to school, women who work at night, go home "Everyone who returns late at night is afraid, and our citizens who leave their homes early in the morning complain. In order to put an end to all this and make everyone smile, we have started the construction of Turkey's most comfortable and modern "Street Animal Life and Rehabilitation Center". I hope we will complete it and put it into service in a short time... I wish it good luck in advance."
