Our medicine is here..." 80-year-old Aziz Güzeloğlu is one of these names... Aziz Güzeloğlu is a name that holds on to life thanks to the Altındağ Municipality Men's Life Center and the Turkish Classical Music Choir... Güzeloğlu is trying to overcome the kidney disease and Parkinson's disease he is struggling with, thanks to the friends he made at the center and the notes he has held on to throughout his life. Güzeloğlu, a kidney patient who undergoes dialysis three days a week, never misses his choir practices. “I GO TO DIALYSIS 3 DAYS A WEEK, BUT I NEVER GIVE UP ON THE CHORUS” Retired tenor and saxophone player Güzeloğlu told his story of meeting the choir after retirement with the following words: "I found out by chance that Altındağ Municipality has a Turkish Classical Music Choir. Artistic Music has always been in my heart, and when I learned about it, I registered immediately. Since I have Parkinson's disease, I cannot go out much, but I have been participating in choir activities for about 10 years. I have made very good friendships thanks to the choir. We have a very nice environment with our choir director and other members. I am happy when I see them. I go to dialysis 3 days a week, but I never give up on the choir. During and after my life as a musician, I have never lost the excitement of the stage." "It didn't disappear." “CHORUS IS A SOURCE OF MOTIVATION FOR ME…” Speaking about his lyrics and composition works, Güzeloğlu said, "After the health problems I experienced, the choir has been a great source of motivation for me. I feel very good while singing. It feels like therapy. We organize concerts on certain dates after the choir practices. I receive very good feedback at the end of the concert. This is also a source of happiness. I would like to thank Altındağ Municipality and our Mayor. I recommend everyone, young and old, to join the choirs." “IF OUR CITIZENS FROM ALTENDAĞLI ARE SMILE, HOW HAPPY WE ARE.” Stating that Altındağ Municipality choirs are open to the participation of citizens of all ages, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "We know that there are our precious citizens of Altındağ who have become psychologically stronger, overcame their diseases and clung to life thanks to our choirs. Sharing their happiness and joy of life makes us very happy. Our choirs are like medicine for our citizens. Our citizens of Altındağ are smiling. If we can make them smile, how happy we are..." President Tiryaki said, "I wish a healthy and peaceful life to all members of our choirs, especially Mr. Aziz, and I would like to thank our valuable conductors for their efforts. We will continue to organize artistic and cultural activities in Altındağ and carry out works that make our citizens of Altındağ smile at all ages."
