“Year of the Family” events are continuing across all sectors in Altındağ. Altındağ Municipality organized a seminar titled “Intra-family Communication Following the Example of the Prophet” at the Ulucanlar Semi-Open Prison Cultural Center. Women from Altındağ showed great interest in the seminar.

Women from Altındağ gathered for the seminar titled “Intra-family Communication Following the Example of the Prophet.” Conducted by researcher, author, and academic Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Aydın with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of family communication and bonds, the seminar covered topics such as “Family and kinship ties, the lack of such ties in families and kinship today, the Prophet’s hadiths on family ties, and what we should do to strengthen family bonds.”  

“WE MUST STRENGTHEN FAMILY AND KINSHIP BONDS”

Emphasizing the need to maintain strong family and kinship bonds, Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Aydın stated: “The family is the foundation of society. One of the greatest shortcomings experienced within families today is a lack of communication, love, and respect. Spouses should show respect and love for one another, avoid lying to each other, and treat one another with reverence. And they should always look on the bright side. We must not forget that families always need love and affection. Furthermore, we must not only maintain strong family ties but also kinship ties. By strengthening family and kinship ties, we must stand by one another. Yusuf Has Hacib says, “A person’s adornment is their face, the face’s adornment is the eyes, the mind’s adornment is the tongue, and the tongue’s adornment is speech.” The connection between words and our way of life is very strong. To truly become a person of sound mind, one must establish a deep connection with their family.”

“I WAS VERY MOVED AND I CRIED”

Refika Gümüş, a member of the Women’s Education and Culture Center who attended the seminar, said, “This seminar truly allowed me to feel a deep sense of spirituality. During the seminar, I felt deeply that I am a woman and the mistress of my home. I was very moved and I cried while listening to the value our Prophet placed on mothers. I would like to thank Mayor Tiryaki for giving us the opportunity to attend such an emotionally moving seminar. I really hope that this and similar seminars continue,” she said. 

Another member of the Women’s Education and Culture Center who attended the seminar, Gül Güney, said, “I became aware of how important the family structure is and that maintaining family ties must never be postponed. We must be respectful toward our children, our families, our relatives, and our community, and spend loving moments with them. It was a wonderful seminar; it really moved me. May God be pleased with our municipality. We learned things we didn’t know and became more aware.”  

“A STRONG FAMILY MEANS A STRONG SOCIETY”

Emphasizing that the family is the cornerstone of society, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki stated, “The family is the cornerstone of society. A strong family means a strong society. “We place great value on seminars like these that help us remember our spiritual values and strengthen family communication. As Altındağ Municipality, we will continue to highlight the importance of the Year of the Family and organize seminars that contribute to both the social and spiritual values of Altındağ families,” he said.
