Joyful event in Altındağ... The summer education program has ended at the Barrier-Free Life Center, which operates under Altındağ Municipality. Individuals with special needs demonstrated their activities and talents at the end-of-term event organized entirely by themselves. Altındağ Mayor Dr. attended the program held at the Barrier-Free Life Center in Karapürçek District. Veysel Tiryaki, Altındağ District National Education Director Hasan Yıldırım, Altındağ Public Education Center Directors, teachers, individuals with special needs and their families attended. 54 students studying at the Barrier-Free Life Center performed colorful shows. At the beginning of the program, teachers gave participants information about the workshops. The happiness of young people and their families was worth seeing... EMOTIONAL TURKISH SONGS In the program, handmade works made by individuals with special needs and their mothers who received training in the painting workshop of the Barrier-Free Life Center were also exhibited. Umut Haktan Akdağ, who has autism and is one of the students of the Barrier-Free Life Center, touched the audience by playing the organ and singing folk songs accompanied by his father. Sıla Taşçı, who is visually impaired, erased the rust from the hearts by singing the folk song "Evening Olur, You Stay in the Dark" accompanied by baglama. The program ended with a concert specially prepared by music workshop students and teachers. "I BOTH HAVE FUN AND LEARN" Nurdane Kulaksız (32), one of the students of the Barrier-Free Life Center, stated that she started to receive education at the center a short time ago and said, "I was very hesitant at first when I started studying at the Barrier-Free Life Center. Now I am having fun and learning. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the construction of the center, and especially my teachers. I am glad to have you..." "I LEARNED A LOT IN A SHORT TIME" Another student, Sevilay Yıldız (28), expressed her feelings with the following words: "I have been studying here for about 3 months. I attended computer and painting courses. I learned a lot in a short time. I would like to thank all my teachers who contributed to our education. I am glad that such a place has been opened, I am very happy to be here..." "THE REAL OBSTACLE IS THE OBSTACLE IN HEARTS AND MINDS" Altındağ Mayor Dr. emphasized that they do whatever is necessary to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged individuals in Altındağ. Veysel Tiryaki said, "We are preparing for a comprehensive project that will change the lives of individuals with special needs. A developed society is measured by the living standards of disadvantaged groups. The real obstacle is the obstacle in hearts and minds. We will implement these projects very soon. All special individuals aged 18 and over living in Altındağ can apply to our center. We are also planning training for our younger students in the new period."
