Mother's Day events have started in Altındağ... The program held at Altındağ Municipality Şair Baki Cultural Center featured special shows. The program, specially prepared for Mother's Day, attracted great attention from the citizens of Altındağ. The opening speech of the program was made by Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki did it. "MOTHERS, OUR CROWN OF HEAD..." President Tiryaki said, "Mothers are our crowning glory... A mother's love is superior to all love. We should appreciate our mothers not only on Mother's Day, but every day. Heaven is under the feet of mothers... I congratulate all mothers on Mother's Day, especially the mothers and wives of martyrs and veterans." After his speeches, President Tiryaki touched the participants by reading quatrains from poems about mother. Mayor Tiryaki, who read quatrains from poet Sezai Karakoç, also sang the emotional poem "Aney" by Poet Mehmet Atilla Maraş. Mayor Tiryaki then read the poem "Çanakkale Martyrs" by the Independence Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy. The guests in the hall burst into tears. PICTURES FROM MOTHERS, POEMS FROM YOUTH In the program, the works of women who are members of Altındağ Municipality Women's Education and Culture Center were exhibited on the theme of "Mother". The works included in the exhibition were greatly appreciated. Little Akif Bellek, a member of Piri Reis Youth Center, sang the poem "Mommy" by the master poet Necip Fazıl. Later, Aydınlıkevler Youth Center members, Zübeyde Şaşmaz and Yiğit Kaya, came on stage and read İbrahim Sadri's poem "Goodbye Mother". Participants experienced emotional moments. The program was enlivened with the "Seven Regions Folk Dance" performance of Altındağ Municipality Güneşevler Nursery students. A MEANINGFUL GIFT TO THE FAMILIES OF MARTYRS President Tiryaki then presented the certificates of the saplings planted to the mothers of the martyrs who participated in the program to keep the cherished memory of their children alive. The program ended with the "Yeşilçam Songs" concert prepared by Altındağ Municipality Choir Chief Cengiz Taşkent and the choir team specially for Mother's Day.
