Firefighting seminar for young people from Altındağ... This time, young people learned what they were wondering about "firefighting". The seminar held by Firefighter Erdem Babayiğit at the Ulucanlar Semi-Open Prison Cultural Center was greatly appreciated. Within the scope of the seminar, young people were informed about issues such as fire extinguishing techniques, fire extinguishing agents, fire protection techniques, and taking protective and preventive measures. "EXTINGUISHING FIRES IS NOT THE ONLY DUTY OF THE FIRE FIRE" Emphasizing that the fireman's duty is not only to intervene in fires, Babayiğit said, "The only duty of firefighters is not to intervene in fires. Firefighters also work in earthquakes, traffic accidents, debris or cave-ins. Firefighters also rescue people and creatures trapped in floods and floods." Talking about the common misconceptions about the profession, Babayiğit said, "To become a firefighter, your first choice is high schools... When you reach high school age, you can choose the firefighting department in Vocational High Schools. There is a firefighting department in İskitler Vocational High School in Ankara. Then, you can choose the Civil Defense and Firefighting department in universities. Nearly 40 universities in Turkey have Civil Defense and Firefighting departments in their associate degree programs." Babayiğit also reminded that 112 is the common call number of emergency teams. "I WANT THE SEMINARS TO CONTINUE" Bensu Cemre Duman (12), a member of Karacaören Youth Center who attended the seminar, said that she was very pleased with the career promotion seminars. Duman said, "The firefighter profession attracts my attention very much. Firefighting is both a difficult and beautiful profession... You save people's lives.
