CELEBRATIONS FOR MAY 19 HAVE BEGUN IN ALTINDAĞ

The spirit of May 19 swept through Altındağ. The “Youth Run,” organized by the Altındağ Municipality as part of the May 19 Atatürk Commemoration, Youth, and Sports Festival, took place at the Capital People’s Park. A total of 168 students from Altındağ competed for medals.
Celebrations in Altındağ for May 19… To mark May 19, Atatürk Commemoration, Youth, and Sports Day, the “Youth Run” organized by the Altındağ Municipality was filled with excitement. In the race, a total of 168 students from 14 youth centers and 6 sports centers affiliated with the Altındağ Municipality competed for first place.
THE JOY OF MEDALS FOR ALTINDAĞ’S YOUTH
At the end of the races, the teams that secured the top three spots celebrated with trophies, while the students who placed in the top six experienced the joy of winning medals. In the Girls’ category, Yaren Pektezel from the Beşikkaya Taekwondo Hall took first place, while in the Boys’ category, Yiğit Çelikel from the Beşikkaya Youth Center claimed the top spot. In the team rankings, the Beşikkaya Taekwondo Hall topped the Girls’ category, and the Beşikkaya Youth Center led the Boys’ category.
Yiğit Çelikel (14), a member of the Beşikkaya Youth Center who won the gold medal in the boys’ category, said, “I’ve been playing soccer for a year. I trained a lot while preparing for the Youth Run. I’m very happy to have come in first. It’s a wonderful feeling to have my friends cheer for me…”

Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki, congratulating the youth of Altındağ on their achievements, said, “The determination and energy of our youth in the competition we organized as part of Youth and Sports Day brought us great joy. We will continue to raise generations that grow up immersed in sports, art, and science.”
Mayor Tiryaki added, “I congratulate all the young people who placed in the competition, as well as all the teachers who have worked so hard to nurture them, and I hope their success continues to grow.”
