Mother's Day celebration events in Altındağ were greatly appreciated. The program held at Altındağ Municipality Necip Fazıl Cultural Center witnessed emotional moments. Altındağ Mayor Dr. attended the program. Veysel Tiryaki and his wife Saadet Tiryaki also attended. “PRESIDENT TIRYAKİ: OUR MOTHERS DESERVE THE BEST OF EVERYTHING” Making a speech at the Mother's Day Program, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "We should remember mothers not for one day, but for 365 days. It is very important to receive the prayers of mothers... Everyone whose mother is alive should know their value. Our mothers deserve the best of everything. On this occasion, I congratulate all our mothers, especially the mothers of martyrs, on Mother's Day." Mayor Tiryaki then sang the poem "Death of the House" by Sezai Karakoç. The guests in the hall could not hold back their tears when they heard this emotional poem. MOTHER OF THE YEAR EMINE TAŞYÜREK As in previous years, this year she was chosen as "Mother of the Year" in Altındağ. The mother of the year in Altındağ was Emine Taşyürek, who devoted herself to her autistic son Enes. Emine Taşyürek's story touched everyone who watched it. A plaque was presented to Taşyürek by Mayor Tiryaki. WINNERS OF THE PAINTING COMPETITION RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS In the program, awards were also presented to the winners of the "Women in Anatolia" themed painting competition organized by Altındağ Municipality Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs. Serpil Böke, who came first with her work "Waiting", Serpil Candan, who came 2nd with her work "Labour becomes more beautiful as it is shared", and Leyla Çoban, who came 3rd with her work "Women of the Soil", received their awards from Saadet Tiryaki. POEMS FROM MOTHERS, EMOTIONAL SONGS The program continued with emotional presentations of mothers from Altındağ. İsmigüzel Taşan, the mother of Petty Officer First Sergeant Okan Taşan, who was martyred in Hakkari Dağlıca in 2015, sang "Dağlıca Folk Song". Ismigüzel Taşan and hundreds of women from Altındağ who filled the hall could not hold back their tears. The program was enlivened with the Van Region Folk Dances show prepared specially for the Mother's Day Program by Seyfi Demirsoy, Aydınlıkevler and Örnek Women's Education and Culture Center members. Songül Tetik, one of the members who attended the literacy course and learned to read at Plevne Women's Education and Culture Center in the 2024-2025 academic year, read the poem she wrote herself. Aysel Aslan, a member of the Önder Women's Education and Culture Center, then took the stage and sang the poem "I'm Tired, Mother". The program ended with a concert prepared specially for Mother's Day by the Turkish Folk Music choir team consisting of Aydınlıkevler, Seyfi Demirsoy and Örnek Women's Education and Culture Center members.
