Mother’s Day celebrations continue in Altındağ. An art exhibition featuring works created by women from Altındağ who are participating in painting classes at the Altındağ Municipality Women’s Education and Culture Centers has opened at the Ulucanlar Semi-Open Prison Exhibition Hall.

A heartfelt exhibition by the women of Altındağ… The “Mother’s Day”-themed art exhibition prepared by the women of Altındağ has been presented to art lovers. The beautiful works, created by members of the Women’s Education and Culture Center and reflecting a mother’s love and tenderness, have been met with great acclaim. 

“I DISCOVERED MY TALENT THANKS TO THE PAINTING COURSE”

Hazal Özden, a member of the Beşikkaya Women’s Education and Culture Center whose work is featured in the exhibition, said she discovered her talent for painting thanks to the course she took. Özden said, “I’ve been interested in painting since childhood. When I learned there was a painting course at the Women’s Education and Culture Center, I wanted to join. Our course instructor is excellent; we’re very satisfied. We prepared a special art exhibition for Mother’s Day. My painting is also included in this exhibition. In the painting I created, rather than telling a clear story, I tried to leave room for viewers to add their own emotions and interpretations. All our mothers are very special… I wish all mothers a happy Mother’s Day.” 

Ayşe Koç (54), a member of the Gültepe Women’s Education and Culture Center, said, “I started the painting course a few months ago. It was my first time working with oil paints. A painting I created is also on display at the Mother’s Day exhibition. I drew a picture imagining a child without a mother clinging to the image of a mother. On this occasion, I would like to celebrate Mother’s Day for all mothers, starting with my own,” she said.

Dr. Veysel Tiryaki, Mayor of Altındağ, who noted that the women of Altındağ showcase their talents in every field, said, “Every piece in this exhibition, prepared especially for Mother’s Day, highlights the talent, hard work, and patience of the women of Altındağ. “It’s wonderful to see the beautiful works created by the women’s brushes in the exhibition... As the municipality, we will continue to provide every opportunity for women to develop themselves in cultural and artistic fields. We are always by the side of Altındağ’s women with golden hearts,” he said.

Mayor Tiryaki added, “I congratulate all the women whose works are featured in the exhibition and wish them continued success. I extend my warmest wishes to all mothers, especially the mothers of our martyrs, on Mother’s Day.”
