Nursery teachers became students. Teachers and assistant instructors working in Altındağ Municipality nurseries came together at the in-service training seminar. The seminar on "Communication with children, parents and teachers" given by Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) educator Erol Turgut was highly appreciated by the nursery staff. The seminar, which provided a lot of important information about communication with children, parents and institution employees, was also enlivened with drama activities. "WE ARE READY TO EMBRACE OUR PUPPIES WITH LOVE..." Stating that preparations for the new education and training period are continuing rapidly in Altındağ Municipality nurseries, Altındağ Mayor Dr. Veysel Tiryaki said, "In order to provide better service to our babies, whom we are preparing to embrace with love in the new education and training period, we have to improve ourselves. For this reason, we brought together our staff at all levels working in our nurseries and gave them an important training seminar on communication with parents and children. Our nurseries are ready for the new era both physically and in terms of content... We are waiting for the day when we will embrace our little babies with love." Stating that they attach importance to in-house training at every opportunity, Mayor Tiryaki said, "Our training programs will continue in the coming days. We will always continue to support our teachers who educate future generations." FULL SEMINAR In the seminar, AÇEV trainer Erol Turgut touched upon the importance of effective communication in education in personal and professional life. Turgut stated that active listening and self-expression, empathy, open and honest communication, correct language use and skills in overcoming communication barriers form the basis of healthy communication. How active listening is done and why it is important, how communication barriers play a role in our lives, and the issues we should pay attention to when expressing ourselves were discussed using adult education methods such as activities and games.
