A proud success from the little wrestlers from Altındağ... The wrestlers of Altındağ Municipality Sports Club achieved a significant success by winning 5 medals in the "School Sports Junior Wrestling Turkey Group Competitions" held in Zonguldak and Sivas between 26-28 March. Little wrestlers also qualified to participate in the "Junior Inter-School Türkiye Wrestling Competitions" to be held in Tekirdağ. While Ahmet Faruk Demirtaş (52 kg) came first in the competitions, Bayram Efe Arslan (44 kg) and Muhammed Eren Etleç (90 kg) experienced the joy of winning silver medals. Yunus Emre Akkoç (30 kg) and Abdullah Eren Yılmaz (41 kg) won bronze medals. “I WILL STRIVE TO WIN THE WORLD FIRST PLACE” Expressing that the championship made him very happy, Ahmet Faruk Demirbaş told his story of meeting wrestling and his path to success with the following words: "I am 12 years old. I was selected for wrestling through a talent screening test when I was in the 3rd grade. I have been at the Altındağ Municipality Sports Club for 2 and a half years. I attend wrestling training regularly, improve myself and participate in competitions. In the preparation process for my competitions, I train hard and disciplined for 2 hours every day. I was rewarded for my disciplined work with my first place. It is a really good feeling to be the first... I was very happy when I became the champion. A few minutes before I started the competition, I was very happy." I was excited, but when my competition started, excitement gave way to ambition. It was my ambition, discipline and the support of my teachers that brought me the first place. My next goal is the world championship... I hope to become the world champion and make everyone proud... I would like to thank Altındağ Municipality, our President Veysel Tiryaki and my teachers for enlightening my path and helping me achieve my dreams. “WE ARE PROUD OF OUR YOUNG ATHLETES” Altındağ Mayor Dr. emphasized that they are proud of the young athletes of Altındağ Municipality.
