The May 19 Atatürk Commemoration, Youth, and Sports Festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Altındağ. The “Youth Concert,” organized at the Yunus Emre Cultural Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was a huge success.

The excitement of May 19 was felt in Altındağ. The “Youth Concert,” organized at the Yunus Emre Cultural Center in collaboration with the Altındağ Municipality and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, thrilled the young audience. The concert featured “Grup Çin Çin,” a group formed by young people from Altındağ. The young people from Altındağ gave a performance that rivaled the professionals with the songs they sang. The young people had a great time at the concert. 

“IT WAS SO PRIDE-INDUCING”

Emre Süloğlu, a member of the Altındağ Municipality Youth Center who performed at the Youth Concert, said, “I’m 21 years old. I started playing music in middle school with an old blue classical guitar. I’ve been actively continuing my training at the Altındağ Municipality Youth Center for about two and a half years. I play a total of four instruments. I learned drums and bass guitar from scratch at the Youth Center, where I’m a member. I’ve also further honed my skills in electric guitar and vocals. Now, thanks to the Youth Center, I’m pursuing my musical career professionally. Two weeks before the concert, we gathered as a team and rehearsed for hours in a disciplined and coordinated manner with my friends. Performing on stage on a special day like May 19th, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth, and Sports Day, was a great source of pride for me and my bandmates. Especially when we started the song, seeing our friends join in and enjoy themselves motivated me and my bandmates, helping us play even better. We were very happy to sing the song together with them. We reaped the rewards of our hard work in a beautiful way. The most exciting moment for me was when our friends stood up and applauded loudly at the end of the song. We would like to thank everyone who participated,” he said. 

“My advice to my friends is that they should definitely get involved in some form of art and definitely try playing an instrument,” said Süloğlu, adding, “I would like to thank Mayor Tiryaki very much for providing us with these opportunities and bringing us together with people.”
