As part of the 2nd anniversary of the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that took place on February 6, 2023, the exhibition of earthquake photographs with the theme "We were never helpless" organized by the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses opened its doors to visitors at Ulucanlar Prison Museum. The exhibition, which was opened with the participation of Prisons and Detention Houses General Director Enis Yavuz Yıldırım, Deputy General Director Fatih Güngör, Department Heads, Altındağ Municipality unit managers and many citizens, attracted great attention. Artist Metin Şentürk was among those who visited the exhibition. THE EXHIBITION WILL BE OPEN UNTIL FEBRUARY 14 The exhibition, which includes photographs taken by the Search and Rescue Team (CEKUT) personnel of the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses working in the earthquake zone, can be visited in the 1st ward of the Ulucanlar Prison Museum. The exhibition will be open to visitors until February 14. "THIS MUSEUM SHOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PAST AND TODAY" Stating that he was very impressed by the exhibition, artist Metin Şentürk experienced emotional moments. Şentürk, who did not forget to visit the museum after the exhibition, received information about the items in the museum one by one. Şentürk, who took a photo alongside the belongings of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, which were recently added to the museum's inventory, said, "I have visited many places throughout my life. I have been to very few places where I felt emotional. I cannot remember any moment when I felt this emotional among the places I visited. Ulucanlar Prison Museum reveals the difference between the past and the present and bears witness to history."
