Deadline for Application: 30 DECEMBER 2004 1. SUBJECT AND PURPOSE: To document and introduce the historical and cultural places of Old Ankara, within the borders of Altındağ district, the daily life in these places, and to contribute to the transfer of these values to future generations and to support the art of photography. 2. PARTICIPATION: The competition is open to everyone except the members of the selection committee. Works that have previously won awards in other competitions will not be accepted into the competition. Participants in the competition are deemed to have accepted all conditions. 3. COMPETITION BRANCHES AND NUMBER OF WORKS: The competition will be held in two separate branches: black-and-white and color printing. 4. DIMENSIONS: The short sides of color and black-and-white prints will not be shorter than 18 cm and the long edges will not be longer than 40 cm. 5. MARKING OF WORKS: A 5-digit pseudonym, the serial number on the participation form, and the title of the work will be written on the lower left corners of the back sides of color and black-and-white prints. 6. SENDING THE WORKS: After the photography competition participation form is filled out completely and legibly, it will be placed in an envelope and the envelope will be glued closed. The participant's 5-digit nickname will be written on the envelope. The envelope containing the participation form and the works will be placed in a large envelope. It will be sent by mail or delivered by hand to the address of Altındağ Municipality Press-Publication and Public Relations Directorate Samanpazarı/ANKARA. The contestant is responsible for any postal delays and damages that may occur. 7. RETURN OF WORKS: The works participating in the competition will be collected from the address given after the exhibitions, in the same packaging they were delivered to. Prize and exhibition winning photographs will not be returned. 8. CATALOG AND USE RIGHT: An effort will be made to collect the award-winning and exhibition-winning photographs, which the selection committee decides to archive and publish, in a catalogue. (The Catalog of the 1st Altındağ Photographs Competition has been published.) When the catalog is published, it will be given to each contestant. Photos that win awards and exhibitions can be used in all kinds of books, brochures, calendars, etc. to be prepared by Altındağ Municipality for the purpose of promoting Altındağ. It can be used in publications provided that the name of the artist is stated. 9. COMPETITION AWARDS: Separately in each branch, First place winners: 600,000,000 TL. Second place: 400,000,000 TL.
